This novel is based around a central protagonist ‘Emma'; the narrator explains Emma since " good-looking, clever, and rich, using a happy disposition”. The novel's focus seems to be set about Emma's anxiety about love, and her misdirected attempts and confidence as being a ‘match maker'. We see one of the many themes in Emma as a growth of self-understanding. Throughout the book, we see Emma grow morally as a character, as she learns from mistakes, and admits mistake in her ways. Emma's Vanity and stubbornness makes many of the story's conflicts, since Emma finds difficulty in producing on an emotional level. While using mistakes Emma makes, we are able to eventually find growth inside her moral and emotional understanding. In her marrying of Mr Knightley, we understand that they're judgements have recently become equal to one another. Mr Knightley will act as guidance for Emma throughout the book by improving her in her problems and presenting an appropriate ethical scope. Sociable and marriage status is another theme or value that is seen throughout Her Austen's Emma. This is unoriginal of the period in which the book was created; as these principles were the best way in which persons from this time could improve their own interpersonal status. This can happen from a change in marital position, or an increase in wealth. Emma is methodized around a volume of marriages that are either consummated or awaited, throughout the new. It is crucial to make note of that this form of social improvement was particularly significant for women.
